Our PODS room includes a TV screen with a live and direct link to church services so that nursing mothers will not miss out on anything. We have changing facilities, a microwave and some items to assist with food preparation. There is a locker available for your child, with a tag on which you can communicate key information regarding your child’s needs and routine. We also have a sleeping room that is sound-proofed and dimly lit, so that your child can have their regular sleep. We ask that you do not bring a pram as we have limited space available, however, you may like to bring other familiar items such as your child’s bouncer/capsule to sleep in or use our cots.
We do all this, and more, so you can be absolutely confident that your child is well looked after whilst you take a much-deserved “breather”. We know being “attached” to a newborn can be tiring, so want you to feel welcome to take some time to yourself and be able to participate more fully in the service.
These are all words that perfectly describe this season of childhood. The FRESH program provides loving, gentle support from leaders, and introduces the children to God through play, stories and songs.
During our time together we enjoy play with developmental and theme appropriate toys, a healthy snack, a short story and a craft activity that reinforces the teaching focus.
It is our belief that this age group can make a significant “mark” on this world for Jesus, and we plan to assist them with this through the use of fun games, craft activities, stories and songs.
The JAM program is JAM-packed with age-appropriate and developmentally stimulating games and activities for the children to enjoy, which are aimed at helping them connect to God and others. An important part of each service is spent in small groups, when the children have an opportunity to reinforce the concepts learnt with a leader and their peers in a variety of ways, thus catering for individual learning styles.
The children learn more about God and are encouraged in their personal relationship with Him. The program uses a combination of multimedia, games, music, art/craft and more to present the gospel message at an age appropriate level. Each service has one main concept, which is reinforced with the children in a variety of ways to meet the learning needs of individuals.
An important part of each service is spent in small groups, when the children have an opportunity to discuss the concepts learnt with a leader and their peers while engaging in hands-on activities.
The children sit together in the main service with our leaders and are encouraged to find one “golden nugget” of wisdom that they can apply to their life, in order to help them grow in their understanding of God and develop a more intimate relationship with Him. Many opportunities for service are also provided both within the church and in the wider community to help this age-group become active participants.
RAGE also provides a junior youth program each Friday night. For more information check out the Victory Church Rage page, or contact team leader, Matt Manser, via the Victory Church office.
