Rob Rufus is the founder and Lead Pastor of City Church International, Hong Kong. Growing up in South Africa and initially being a devout Hare Krishna, Rob joined a Hindu Ashram on a full-time basis when he was at University. Around this time he also met his wife Glenda as they got married soon after. Glenda later had a remarkable experience where she encountered God and gave her life. Rob ridiculed her faith but months later also had an encounter with Jesus Christ inside a Hindu temple where he himself gave his life.
At the ages of 23 and 20 they planted their first church in South Africa, where they led for twelve years before they felt the call to Australia. In Adelaide Australia, Rob and Glenda co-led for three years and then took on the full-time leadership role, leading for a further seven years, before they felt the call to hand over the church and leave for Hong Kong in 2004.
Rob is respected as an apostolic father to many pastors and churches around the world, being sometimes referred to as an ‘apostle of grace’. He is the author of two books titled, ‘Invading the Impossible’ (New Nature Publications) and ‘Living in the Grace of God’ (Authentic Media).
Rob and Glenda’s heart is to see people and churches coming into the freedom and the power of the New Covenant and building up strong churches that are filled with the glory of God.
